A Third Option for Your Pool Water
Chlorine, Saltwater, or Freshwater
For decades, pool owners have had two choices: a chlorine pool or a saltwater pool. Both work, and both keep chlorine in the water. The Naked Freshwater System, designed in Australia, offers a third option. It keeps your pool clean with copper and silver minerals and only a trace of chlorine, so your water feels fresh and soft instead of harsh.

A great option for sensitive skin
The Difference You Feel
What It Feels Like to Swim in a Naked Pool
You know the feeling after a swim in a typical pool: burning eyes, tight skin, and a chlorine smell that follows you around. A Naked pool changes that.
Open them underwater with far less sting.
With very little salt and only a trace of chlorine, the water feels fresh, not harsh.
Much less lingering on your skin, your hair, or your towels.
On a calm day, you can drop a quarter in the deep end and read the date. That's Mike's favorite test.
Side by Side
Saltwater or Naked Freshwater?
We build both, and both are great pools. Here's how they compare.
A Naked freshwater pool is for people who want the softest, cleanest feeling water they can get, and more of our customers are choosing it.
Your Installer Matters
Why Choose Pools by Jiffy for Your Naked Freshwater Pool
We install the Naked Freshwater System on our Latham fiberglass pools, and we took the time to learn it right.
- Trained on the System
Mike and Julie were among about 30 Latham dealers invited to a seminar on the Naked system at Latham's plant in Zephyrhills, where they met the Naked team from Australia.
- Checked in the Field
A Naked representative from Australia has visited our Naked installs here to review them.
- Pool School With Every Pool
After your pool is finished, our pool pro handles startup, provides a month of cleaning service, and teaches you how to run your equipment, including your copper checks.
- Family Roots in Palm Coast Since 1979
You deal with the owner, start to finish.
Gentler Than Your Kitchen Faucet
Less Chlorine Than Typical Tap Water
The water from your kitchen faucet starts out in rivers, lakes, or underground aquifers. Before it reaches your home, your city treats it to kill germs, and chlorine is one of the most common ways it does that. The amount is small enough that you usually can't taste or smell it.
A Naked pool works on the same idea. It keeps just enough chlorine in the water to do its job, and no more. Naked's user manual calls for 0 to 0.5 parts per million of free chlorine. City water in Florida is commonly treated at higher levels, and the EPA allows up to 4 parts per million in drinking water. The result is crystal clear water that feels like a fresh swim, not a chemical bath.
